Upon the invitation of the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Ignasius Jonan, Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Mr. Ivan Brajović participated in the Ministerial Meeting titled: „Strengthening Developing Countries Partnership on Capacity Building for Civil Aviation: No Country Left Behind“, which was held in Bali (Indonesia), from 30 to 31 May 2016.

In his address to the participants of the meeting, Minister Brajović pointed out that, upon renewal of statehood independency, Montenegro soon became a member of the following relevant international organizations: ICAO, ECAC, EUROCONTROL, and EASA.

In addition, Minister Brajović stressed that Montenegro has successfully met all the requirements defined by the EU regulations in respect to the One Stop Security Project, which means that security standards at airports in Montenegro are equal to security standards in the EU member states. When it comes to the transit flights, the aforementioned means that after passengers and cargo have undergone security screening at the Montenegrin airports as a starting point, they would not be required to undergo another one at the airports of the European Union. The value of this achievement is reflected in the fact that a very small number of non-EU countries, among which the United States of America and Canada, have managed to implement this project successfully.

During the meeting, Minister Ivan Brajovic held talks with his Indonesian counterpart Mr. Ignasius Jonan, and had a series of bilateral meetings on the margins of the Ministerial Meeting.
